Being a big Batman fan I’ve watched all the movies – even the crappy 1997 Batman & Robin, I mean who really wants to see Batman’s nipples? – and cartoons. The Dark Knight is a great example of a normal dude doing extraordinary things. I’ve watched the Batman: Arkham City title ever since I got to play a bit of it when I was invited to play some of the upcoming video games awhile back.
Thanks to the fan site arkhamcity.co.uk we have a picture of six different costumes from the next Batman title.
From left to right, we have Batman Beyond, The Dark Knight Returns, Earth One Batman, 70’s Batman, Animated series Batman and the standard Batman.
Developer Rocksteady Studios has really out done itself by adding different costumes the caped crusader can wear. You can make Bruce look as badass as you want.
Unfortunately it will be tough to get them all right now since some of the costumes are specific to a pre-order from different vendors, but maybe they will be a DLC later on once the game is released.
Editor’s Edit (September 15): Good news! The six costumes will be available as a DLC at a later date and be playable in the open world once you beat the story mode. (Source: GameRant)
Editor’s Edit (March 19): The DLC for all the different Batman suits was made available on December 6, 2011. The Arkham City Skins Pack costs 400 credits on Xbox Live. You can use the different bat-suits in storyline mode upon completion of the main story and all challenge maps.
What do you think of donning some old school Batman outfits?
Batman: Arkham City will grapple to your Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and PC on October 18, 2011.
