It seems the trailer that started the Dead Island hype has caught the eye of  Lionsgate brass and they want to turn it into a movie.

A few days ago GameTrailers.com released some gameplay footage of Techland’s new zombie first-person shooter Dead Island.

Two things caught my eye in the video (embedded below for you to watch). One, the focus on guns near the end of the game is a lot more than expected. And two, the reveal of the Floater zombie.

The new zombie seems to love the sewer and getting to close will result in a face full of puke and temporarily blinded. Remind you of anything?

Here is a list of known moves, weapons, blueprints and other miscellaneous items you can get in  Techland’s Dead Island. Much of the game’s weapons are customizable, so not every weapon may be listed. Full credit for this list goes out to Gamersbook.

If you’re a zombie game fanatic, you’ve probably used your plants to kill an onslaught of zombies in Plants vs. Zombies or ran around an abandon theater with a train of zombies following you in Call of Duty: Black Ops. Sure, it’s fun to pop the heads off the undead, but it’s not realistic — I’d hold up the zombies as much as possible and get the hell out of farmer’s house and abandon theater for safer ground.
